The Sullivan County HIPAA Compliance Office is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, maintenance, and adherence to the organization’s policies and procedures covering the privacy, access, and patient health information in compliance with federal and state laws and the healthcare organization’s information privacy practices.



Sullivan County Legislative Resolution No. 113-03 designates the County as a Hybrid Entity. Covered healthcare components:

  • Department of Family Services (Medicaid, Personal Care)
  • Community Services
  • Public Health Services (LTHHC, CHHA, EI, Preschool)
  • Adult Care Center and Adult Day Care
  • Office For Aging (Case Management)
  • Risk Management (self-insured plans)
  • Medical Clinic (Jail)
