“The classes we offer – taught by experienced professionals – give you the essentials to obtain financing and build a successful enterprise,” affirmed Division of Planning & Environmental Management Assistant Commissioner Jill M. Weyer.

The Entrepreneurial Training Program is coordinated by the Planning Division, the Partnership for Economic Development, the Industrial Development Agency, the Center for Workforce Development, and the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce, who will also help participants identify and qualify for low-interest loans, subsidies and other forms of support.
This step-by-step, hands-on curriculum originated in 2012 and has helped such businesses as Java Love Coffee Roasters in White Lake, Main Street Farm in Livingston Manor, Nelly’s Latin Restaurant in Monticello, Sudsy Paws Pet Services in Wurtsboro, the Stickett Inn in Barryville, and Big Kev’s BBQ in Bethel (just recognized as one of the top barbecue destinations in the Northeast).
