Online Survey Will Help Chart Future Path of Move Sullivan

Move Sullivan

Monticello, NY – The new year is expected to be one of growth for the new Move Sullivan public transportation service offered by Sullivan County, which has already seen ridership skyrocket since its August debut.

“The Tentative 2020 County Budget includes $300,000 for two new buses and $150,000 for an expansion of hours and/or routes,” noted Sullivan County Manager Josh Potosek. “We want to prioritize that expansion where there’s the greatest interest and need.”

“So we’ve created a survey to gauge the thoughts and feelings of both riders and riders-to-be,” added Center for Workforce Development Director Laura Quigley, who in collaboration with the Division of Public Works spearheaded the creation of the popular bus service. “We really want to know why they use Move Sullivan and where they think it should go.”

The eight-question survey can be completed anonymously at www.surveymonkey.com/r/9NR33KJ. Answers will be used to determine the future growth of Move Sullivan. Those who do and do not ride the bus service currently are welcome to respond.
