Social Services Offices to Temporarily Close Monday

Travis Building in Liberty

Liberty, NY – Part of Sullivan County’s social services complex in Liberty will briefly close to the public this Monday afternoon, June 13, in order for employees to complete required training.

“Our entire staff must participate in this training at the same time,” explained Health & Human Services Commissioner John Liddle, “so from 1 p.m. on, we will not be open at Social Services or Community Services. We truly regret any inconvenience to the public.”

The Liberty facilities will be open to the public prior to 1 p.m. on Monday and will be open as usual on Tuesday, June 14. The Government Center in Monticello and all other County-operated properties are unaffected and will be operating on a normal schedule next week.

NOTE: This closure does NOT include Public Health’s offices at the Gladys Olmsted Building, which will operate normally on Monday. Nor does it impact the Care Center at Sunset Lake, which will remain open and staffed 24/7.
