Sullivan County Community Services Is Now Community Services-Behavioral Health Clinic

Liberty, NY – Reflecting a merger of services, the Sullivan County Department of Community Services is now the Department of Community Services – Behavioral Health Clinic.

“The new name was chosen by County employees who work in the Department,” explained Community Services Director Melissa Stickle. “It better encompasses the entirety of what we do.”

“It’s a different name, but it’s the same caring crew who compassionately serve our citizens every day,” acknowledged Joe Todora, commissioner of the Division of Health and Family Services, which oversees Community Services. “We will continue to be responsive to and considerate of their needs.”

Located on Sunset Lake Road in Liberty, Community Services – Behavioral Health Clinic comprises approximately 48 staff members and provides the following services: Individual Psychotherapy, Family Counseling, Group Therapy, Medication Therapy, Crisis Intervention/Outreach, Court Evaluations, Consultation & Education, Case Coordination, Anger Management, Treatment Reaching Youth Program (TRY) and Coordinated Children and Adult Services Initiative SPOA (Single Point of Access).
