Sullivan County Leaders to Host COVID-19 Town Halls April 20 and 23

Monticello, NY – Legislature Chairman Robert Doherty announces that Legislature Vice Chair Mike Brooks, County Manager Josh Potosek and Public Health Director Nancy McGraw, along with District Attorney Meagan Galligan, will answer citizens’ questions during a Facebook Live Q&A session Monday, April 20, at 1 p.m.

Another Live Q&A will be held on Thursday, April 23, at 1 p.m., with guest presenters to be announced closer to the date.

“While we will continue to answer citizens’ questions, we also want to focus our Town Halls on topics of particular concern,” Doherty stated. “Last week, we talked about business recovery and COVID-19 testing. At this next Town Hall, we’ll discuss coronavirus-related scams.”

“We’ll also debut our new public dashboard, which includes the map our constituents have asked for,” he added. “It will show the prevalence of confirmed cases around Sullivan County, based upon zip code.”

For the April 20 Town Hall, questions can be submitted via either email at sctownhall@sullivanny.us or private message to www.facebook.com/sullivancountygov by 7 a.m. April 20. They should be related to COVID-19 (2019 Novel Coronavirus) concerns and issues, phrased respectfully and apolitically.

The live Q&A will begin at 1 p.m. April 20 at www.facebook.com/sullivancountygov. The video will also be made available to view afterwards on the Coronavirus info page on the County’s website, www.sullivanny.us.
