Survey Seeks to Help Employers Facing Child Care Challenges

Monticello, NY – The Sullivan County Division of Community Resources, the Sullivan County Center for Workforce Development and the Sullivan County Child Care Council have jointly created a survey to assess the needs of local employers as students go back to school and parents go back to work amidst the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

“This is a follow-up to a survey we conducted with parents and families at the beginning of the summer,” explains Child Care Council Executive Director Donna Willi. “Now we want to understand the challenges employers are facing in adapting to the child care needs of their employees.”

“The survey can be filled out anonymously, and the questions won’t take long to answer,” Community Resources Commissioner Laura Quigley affirms. “We just want to know what local businesses are doing or not doing – and how we can help.”

The survey can be found at www.surveymonkey.com/r/KQ2VLSQ and will be available through October 15. If you do not have Internet access or would prefer to answer the questions over the phone, please call the Child Care Council at 845-292-7166.
