Sullivan County Auctioning Surplus Vehicles & Equipment

Old Gradall Up for Auction

Monticello, NY – Bidders are welcome from now through September 24 on more than 100 items of heavy equipment (yellow iron), cars, buses, light/medium/heavy-duty trucks, trailers, tires and assorted parts up for auction by the Sullivan County Division of Public Works (DPW).

“From a seized BMW sedan to unused tires to handyman tool boxes, we’ve got a lot to pick through,” says District 7 Legislator and Public Works Committee Chair Joe Perrello. “I invite everyone to take a look and make a bid.”

Bidding on all lots starts at just $1, rising in increments (with only a 10% buyer’s premium). While some items are lightly used or even unused, all are being sold as-is through Absolute Auctions and Realty at aarauctions.com.

“For a ‘picker’ or a do-it-yourselfer, our auction offers a chance to find the right part or piece of equipment to finish a job for far less cost than buying new,” affirms Sullivan County Manager Josh Potosek. “And for those with older vehicles or machinery, this sale could provide an inexpensive but enormous array of hard-to-find supplies.”

Live previews are available, by appointment only, from now through Friday, September 14, and from Monday, September 17 through Friday, September 21 between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Call John Schultz at 845-807-0304 to schedule.

The auction closes at 7 p.m. on September 24. Payment is due by Friday, September 28 at 3 p.m. All lots are subject to seller approval. Invoices will be sent following approval of sale. Pickup will be available Monday, October 1 through Friday, October 5 from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. All pickups must be completed by Friday, October 5 at 2:30 p.m.
