Countdown to the General Election

On Tuesday, November 6, 2018, polls are open 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

  • October 12:   Last day to register to vote in person; Last day to receive Change of Party Enrollment for 2019 Primary
  • October 17:   Last day to process Change of Address form before General Election
  • October 30:   Last day to postmark Application for Absentee Ballot
  • November 5: Last day to apply in person for Absentee Ballot; Last day to postmark Absentee Ballot and must be received by November 13
  • November 6: Last day to deliver Absentee Ballot in person to County Board of Elections (by someone other than the voter)

Extended Hours

In addition to the regular office hours of Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM,  the Board of Elections Office, located at the Sullivan County Government Center (100 North Street in Monticello) will have extended open hours on the following dates and times:

  • Thursday Evening, October 25              5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
  • Saturday Morning, October 27               9:00 AM to Noon
  • Thursday Evening, November 1             5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
  • Saturday Morning, November 3             9:00 AM to Noon
