County Acquires 15,000 More KN95 Masks for Distribution

KN95 Mask Distribution

Monticello, NY – Thanks to efforts by Public Safety Commissioner Thomas Farney, Sullivan County has acquired 15,000 more KN95 masks, in addition to the 34,500 it received from the State earlier this month.

As a result, Community Resources Commissioner Laura Quigley is pleased to announce that another drive-thru pick-up event has been scheduled for 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, January 11 at the Transportation Building, 401 County Route 183 (Airport Road), Swan Lake, NY.

“We also continue to work with our local towns, libraries and housing complexes to keep distributing these useful masks,” explained Quigley. “As always, I welcome more complexes to give our Community Assistance Center a call (845-807-0925) if they would like some for their residents.”

Any Sullivan County resident is welcome to come on Tuesday to pick up masks for themselves and their families. Residents should remain in their vehicles. Identification showing Sullivan County residency will be required, and drivers should be wearing a mask when conversing with staff and volunteers.

KN95 masks also continue to be available at the Government Center during normal business hours. Inquire at the Sheriff’s desk in the lobby.

As supplies last, local libraries have masks available as well. Call first before travelling to pick up masks.

For those unable to access these locations, contact the Community Assistance Center at 845-807-0925 for help.
