How Can You Help Sullivan Be More Resilient to Disaster?

Resiliency Plan Invite

Monticello, NY – You can help Sullivan County build capacity to withstand extreme weather events and economic shocks, adapt to a changing environment, and plan new infrastructure with resiliency in mind.

The County is developing a comprehensive Resiliency Plan, looking at the interrelated issues of the environment, the local economy and the social and physical infrastructure. Town and village officials, County residents, businesspeople and community organizations are invited to help develop shared goals and identify potential projects that will enhance the County’s ability to prepare, recover and thrive in the face of future challenges.

Whether it’s meeting housing needs, supporting agriculture, protecting natural resources, ensuring access to jobs, food and essential services, or addressing energy infrastructure and utilities including broadband, this is an opportunity for County residents to share their special community knowledge and insights.
