Monticello, NY – With New York State emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic and available jobs multiplying across the area, Sullivan County’s Center for Workforce Development (CWD) has launched its own Facebook page to keep job-seekers up-to-date on the latest positions and training opportunities.
“We have jobs to offer all over the place, in government, in education, in transportation – blue-collar, white-collar, public sector, private sector, you name it,” says CWD Director Loreen Gebelein. “Employers are eager to put our nearly 4,000 unemployed residents back to work, and we’ve got the tools to connect people to the right jobs at the right places.”
CWD’s social media page, www.facebook.com/SullivanCWD, is a key part of that toolbox and is a showcase for the services and listings – all FREE – offered by the CWD’s Career Center.
“We weekly list our ‘Hot Jobs,’ from veterinary tech to short order cook, brewer to teacher assistant – over 100 positions in total, all open now,” Gebelein adds. “We welcome job-seekers with and without skills and education. In fact, we can probably help you find any training you may need, and we’ll work with you and the employer to make that happen. So let’s get to work!”
